What stays on your device
Player names, scores and match history are written to your browser's local storage (localStorage) on the device you are using. None of it is sent to a server, none of it is tied to an account, and none of it is visible to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes it for good, because there is no copy anywhere else to restore it from.
Advertising
Score Buddy carries advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to select ads and to measure how they perform. While advertising is active, a consent panel listing those purposes and vendors appears on your first visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and a “Privacy settings” link at the foot of the page lets you change your answer at any time.
Personalised ads
If you consent to personalised advertising, Google may use cookies to pick ads based partly on your visits to other sites. You can switch personalisation off whenever you like in the Ads Settings of your Google account, or manage third-party vendors at youradchoices.com. Turning it down costs you nothing here: the scorekeeper works exactly the same, and you still see ads, chosen from the content of the page rather than from a profile of you.
Traffic analysis
We run no analytics that profile visitors. Our hosting provider records requests in aggregate so that the service stays secure and available.
Children
Score Buddy is not directed at children under thirteen and does not knowingly collect anything about them. With no accounts and no forms, the site asks no visitor of any age for identifying information.
